ABOUT RYAN KELLY: SWFL'S EXPERIENCED

Construction Industry Leader

President of Kelly General Contracting, Ryan Kelly, has 15+ years of experience in the SWFL construction industry. During this time, Ryan has had the opportunity to work with multiple successful Southwest Florida (SWFL) construction companies. With humble beginnings doing concrete labor work, Ryan was quickly promoted to a senior construction management position where the focus was large commercial builds, owner-contract execution, and acting as a liaison for owners and owner’s reps amongst other managerial tasks.

Working for strong companies along the way, Ryan was able to develop effective and efficient business operating systems which he has adapted to his current company. After passing the General Contractor test in 2015, Ryan has been working with SWFL construction leaders and continuing his hands-on education in industry minutia.

Growing up in the sunny landscapes of Southwest Florida, experienced the vibrant culture and close-knit community of the area. He married his high school sweetheart, a testament to his deep-rooted values and commitment. Together, they have a beautiful daughter who brings joy and inspiration to their lives.

Project Managers

Your project manager serves as the central point of contact and the organizer of all aspects of your building project. Their role is not just about managing schedules and budgets. Ultimately, their goal is to deliver a successful project that exceeds your expectations, on time and within budget. By overseeing the entire process with diligence and expertise, the project manager ensures that your building journey is as smooth and stress-free as possible, from conception to completion.

Site Supervisors

From the moment ground is broken, your site supervisor takes charge, managing the day-to-day operations on-site. They coordinate with subcontractors, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Throughout the construction phase, the site supervisor keeps you informed of progress, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise along the way. They work closely with the project manager and design coordinator to resolve challenges and keep the project on track and within budget.

Designers

Imagine the design coordinator as the conductor of an orchestra, bringing together all the different elements and players to create a harmonious symphony of your vision. Throughout the process, they serve as your advocate, making sure that your voice is heard. Your design coordinator works tirelessly to translate your concepts and aspirations into a tangible design plan. Whether it’s selecting materials, refining layouts, or incorporating special features, the design coordinator is there to guide you every step of the way.

Controller

With over 25 years of experience in construction accounting, Susan Swanson has been an integral part of Kelly General Contracting, managing the financial side of our projects. Since 1998, she has specialized in cost accounting, project budgeting, and office management to keep operations running smoothly. As Controller, she handles client project accounting through AIA billing systems, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and up-to-date financial insights.
She is dedicated to optimizing cash flow, managing costs, and keeping projects on track financially. By working closely with project managers and clients, she streamlines processes, reduces risks, and delivers clear financial reports. Her goal is to ensure every project runs efficiently and successfully while building strong, lasting client relationships.
